AED Program

Flare Construction is actively engaged in Quanta Service’s Automated External Defibrillator (AED) program, which aims to increase the rate of survival for people suffering from sudden cardiac arrests wherever our crews are. We distribute AEDs to our supervisors and foremen and provide at least one AED to every jobsite. Our employees are trained to administer defibrillation prior to the arrival of Emergency Medical Services. Quanta’s AED program has saved multiple lives on jobsites across North America, including the lives of several civilians.

Training

Flare requires ongoing on-the-job training for all of our employees. We understand that the work we do demands knowledge of safety and skills best practices. We know that only trained and qualified individuals can complete this work to our standards. We are committed to fulfilling OSHA’s requirements to train our employees in the methods and practices necessary to perform their jobs safely.

Supplier Diversity Program

We are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout all aspects of our business. Our diverse client base and supply chain are instrumental in our sustainable progress. We have seen firsthand the value of knowledge, talent, and innovation from different points of view. We draw on the unique perspectives of our employees, suppliers, and clients to enhance our competitive advantage, promote economic growth, and strengthen our community. In turn, we actively support the growth and needs of our clients and suppliers.

We value the relationships we build and know that we succeed better together. We are committed to seeking business opportunities with qualifying diverse suppliers that are minority-owned business enterprises, women-owned business enterprises, business enterprises owned by people with disabilities, US veteran-owned business enterprises, and business enterprises owned by members of the LGBTQ+ community.

We set ambitious goals for our supplier diversity program: to increase the percentage of procurement dollars spent with diverse suppliers, to expand our supplier base to include a broader range of diverse businesses, and to provide opportunities for diverse suppliers to participate in projects of various sizes and scopes.
